Dan Henderson Knows When He's Retiring

Dan Henderson (29-8) has fought for almost every major MMA promotion there is in his 12 year career, earning gold throughout. Now at 42-years-old, Henderson knows that time is ticking away and thinks that his body can withstand four more fights.

"I have to fight a couple more years," said Henderson to TATAME. "I have at least two more fights ahead of me next year, so I guess that would make at least two more fights after that."

Henderson's resume includes being the final PRIDE middleweight and welterweight champion. He was also the oldest fighter to win a Strikeforce title when he captured the light heavyweight championship at 40-years-old.

Lyoto Machida (18-3) challenges Henderson next in the co-main event of UFC 157 on February 23. The card takes place out of the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. It will be Henderson's first fight in 15 months after a knee injury forced him out of a title shot with Jon Jones (17-1) at UFC 151.
