UFC On Fox: Dennis Siver Vs. Nam Phan

We begin the FX prelims with featherweights Dennis Siver (20-8) and Nam Phan (18-10) doing battle. The third man inside the Octagon will be Anthony Hamlett.

Round 1: Siver goes to work with the inside kicks, and lands a swift left jab. Phan with a huge overhand right attempt that misses. Straight power right by Siver, who backs Phan up, and Siver proceeds to come right in with a kick/punch combo. Siver is throwing some bombs right now, landing a left to the face. Another right lands, followed by a kick from Siver. Stiff right courtesy of Siver, who is just teeing off right now. Spinning back kick by Siver lands. Head kick just misses from Siver, who has landed over 30 significant strikes just two-plus minutes into the fight. Phan lands a left and keeps moving, but catches a right directly to the face. Another spinning back kick attempt by Siver, who sweeps Phan to the ground with a single-leg attempt. Body kick by Siver, who shoots and grabs for another takedown. Siver has not stopped attacking as we go under 30 seconds in this round.

Round 2: Siver starts right back where he left off, throwing a strike, a kick and a jab off the bat. Phan with a big strike that nearly floors Siver, but Phan slips on an attack by Siver. Siver throws a combo, but Phan answers with an uppercut. Siver nearly floors Phan again, but the veteran of TUF continues to stand tall. Front-kick by Siver to the chest of Phan. Spinning back kick, a third, lands to the head area of Phan, and Siver grabs a takedown, moving into side control. Siver with an elbow to the face inside the guard. Siver continues to land shots to the face of Phan, holding him to the mat and controlling him. Siver has Phan's arm tied up and is teeing off on his face with several uncontested rights. Under 50 seconds to go, Siver back into side control after a hip escape attempt by Phan. Siver continues to execute precise ground-and-pound on Phan.

Round 3: Siver in complete control of this one as we head to the final five minutes of action. Siver drops down and pushes Phan to the ground. Phan hints at an armbar, but is unable to get it and Siver moves to side control. Siver peppering Phan, as he looks for a head-and-arm choke. Siver, instead, ends up in mount but is unable to stay there, as Phan gets it to half-guard. Siver teeing off again, landing several lefts to the face of Phan. Siver dropping elbows now in the guard, following up with straight lefts. More elbows, including one to the jaw, by Siver. Less than a minute to go, as Siver has landed over 100 ground strikes.
