Renan Barao-Michael McDonald To Headline UFC On Fuel TV 7
By Dana Becker | December 06, 2012
UFC officials have signed interim UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao and Michael McDonald to a title match at UFC On Fuel TV 7. The card takes place February 16 from Wembley Arena in England. The bout has been rumored since news of Dominick Cruz having to undergo a second surgery was made. Barao won the interim title from Urijah Faber earlier this year.
Barao (29-1) had hoped to unify the titles with Cruz, but "The Dominator" will remain sidelined for the extended future.
McDonald (15-1) has posted a 5-0 UFC record and is coming off surgery on his hand. He last defeated Miguel Torres this past April.
