Michelle Gutierrez Off Bellator 84, Patricia Vidonic Named As Replacement

Bellator 84 was hit with another injury only days before the show. Michelle Gutierrez (3-3) withdrew from her fight with Felice Herrig (7-4) due to a hand injury. Patricia Vidonic (7-3) has stepped in on short notice.

This will be a rematch as the two met in April, where Herring took home a unanimous decision win.

Following the loss to Herring, Vidonic returned over the summer with a decision win over Sally Krumdiack (9-6). Herrig has won four of her last five fights and is undefeated this year with two wins.

Herrig's camp has questioned the authenticity of the injury.

Earlier in the week, the heavyweight championship fight on the card was scratched when the challenger Attila Vegh (25-7-2) suffered an injury.

Bellator 84 takes place December 14 at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind. MTV2 airs the main card and Spike.com will stream the prelim action.
