Jake Ellenberger: Welterweight Division Is Always Changing

Jake Ellenberger (28-6) has fought nearly his entire career as a welterweight. He looks at the UFC's current division and knows it's unpredictable with the addition of some standout new names.

"Things in this division are crazy and constantly changing," said Ellenberger to Bleacher Report. "Just when you think you have an idea what is going on, it gets stirred up all over again, and you have no idea. It's definitely interesting."

Ellenberger has fared well in the UFC, holding an 8-1 record. His only loss was to title contender Martin Kampmann (20-6) over the summer. His next fight has not been disclosed.

Georges St-Pierre recently retained his welterweight championship after a 19 month layoff at UFC 154. Johny Hendricks (14-1) knocked Kampmann early in round one to move up in the division. Anderson Silva (33-4) wants a superfight to happen in 20313 and Nick Diaz (26-8-1 NC) wants any title shot when he returns from suspension in February. So clearly, the welterweight division is full of potential fights.

"I never really know what is going to happen," said Ellenberger. "You win six fights in a row and you think you are up there. Hopefully you are one fight away and then all of a sudden four other guys are in the same spot."
