Joseph Benavidez-Ian McCall Headed For UFC 156

According to a report by MMA Elite, Ian McCall and Joseph Benavidez will meet in February at UFC 156: Aldo Vs. Edgar. The card is set to be part of the annual Super Bowl weekend show put on by the UFC in Las Vegas.

Benavidez (16-3) lost to Demetrious Johnson earlier this year in a bout to crown the first-ever UFC flyweight champion. The loss snapped a four-fight win streak for Benavidez.

McCall (11-3-1) was defeated by Johnson in a semifinal fight in the flyweight tournament. The two also fought to a draw earlier this year after a scoring error was made.
