The gloves Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (21-6) wore in his win over Brandon Vera (12-6-1 NC) are being auctioned for a Brazilian charity. Rua defeated Vera at UFC on Fox 4 via TKO in the fourth round.

All money raised goes to hospitals in Rua's native town of Curitiba, Brazil.

"The growth of the sport helped us to get closer to the audience of all ages," said Rua through an interpreter to MMA Junkie. "If we all help a little, a lot can be improved."

The auction has already started, you can bid by going to doesantacasa.org. The auction ends December 20.

Rua returns to the Octagon against Alexander Gustafsson (14-1) at UFC on FOX 5. The event takes place from Seattle on December 8.
