When John Makdessi (10-2) was training for his last fight at UFC 154, something didn't seem right. Makdessi thinks that his opponent Sam Stout (18-8-1) had people at his training camp spying on him."People don't even realize two of his closest friends were training at TriStar the whole time I was," said Makdessi to Bloody Elbow. "I kept my cool and didn't say anything, and was respectful to those guys, even though they were probably spying."
If Stout did have spies, it didn't matter as Makdessi went home with the decision win on the preliminary card. The win ended Makdessi's back-to-back losses. For Stout, the loss made his UFC record 7-7.
"The whole time I was in training camp, they were eyeballing me," said Makdessi. "I knew that guy was probably going to go back and tell him some tips as to how I trained. I was just focused on what I had to do with my own gameplan."
