UFC 153 Draws Almost 17,000 Fans To HSBC Arena

Saturday night's return to Brazil drew 16,844 fans to the HSBC Arena for UFC 153: Silva vs. Bonnar. The main event featured Anderson Silva defeating Stephan Bonnar.

The live gate was estimated at between $2.5 and $2.6 million for the show. This was the third UFC event to be held inside the HSBC Arena, and several Brazilians helped fill the building.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira defeated Dave Herman in the co-main event, while Glover Teixeira scored a victory over Fabio Maldonado in an all-Brazilian main card bout.
