UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo was all set to face Frankie Edgar in the main event of UFC 153 this weekend. That is until an auto accident derailed Aldo and sent the UFC searching for a new main event.

The promotion signed Anderson Silva and Stephan Bonnar to fill the void, and the two will meet at UFC 153: Silva vs. Bonnar from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. For Aldo (21-1), the incident has taught him a valuable lesson.

"No more motorbikes for me," said Aldo, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com. "I'm young, so obviously I do mess up once in a while. But I learned my lesson and I'm not going to ride anymore."

Aldo was originally scheduled to face Erik Koch earlier this year, but a training injury postponed that fight. Koch was then injured himself, and the UFC gave Edgar an immediate title shot upon entering the featherweight division.

Currently, "Scarface" is waiting for clearance from his doctor to start working out again, adding, "the sooner the better," for a return to action. He added, "I'm ready, I'm recovered, but the doctor needs to say I can (train)."
