PRELIMINARY CARD
Phil Harris vs. Darren Uyenoyama
Round 1: Uyenoyama pressuring Harris against the cage and initiates the clinch. Harris reverses the position and gets a quick takedown but Uyenoyama back to his feet. Harris wanting to take this to the mat and gets a nice double leg, ending up in his opponent's guard. Uyenoyama throws up a triangle attempt but Harris postures up and escapes. Difficult to judge this one with 1:30 left in the round. Neither having much success closing the distance. Uyenoyama moves to the crane stance which gets some cheers from the Minneapolis crowd.

Round 2: Uyenoyama employing a nice high kick that backs up Harris. Uyenoyama pawing with the left put nothing doing. Harris now is the first to act but having trouble connecting. Uyenoyama rushes in and clinches but gets reversed against the cage by Harris. Uyenoyama pulls guard and has the back, going for a kimura. Now trying to secure the second hook but ends up in Harris' guard. Transition to the mount and now the back. Uyenoyama slips in a rear-naked choke and Harris is forced to tap.

Bart Palaszewski vs. Diego Nunes
Round 1: A quick touch of the gloves before these featherweights start engaging. Nunes lands a right hook and swarms on Palaszewski. Goes for the takedown but ends up in a nasty guillotine. Guillotine is in fairly tight but Nunes manages to escape. "Bartimus" setting up a triangle though, looking to lock in his ankle under the knee. Nunes finally posturing up and looks to be safe for the time being before landing in Palaszewski's guard. Now landing some heavy elbows from the top as Nunes has come out super aggressive. Nunes misses with a diving punch and Palaszewski gets to his feet. Nunes floors Palaszewski with a huge right hand before landing some ground and pound. Really trying to finish his opponent. Palaszewski's left eye is cut badly but manages to survive the round.

Round 2: Let's see if Palaszewski can recover after the first round pressure from Nunes. Nunes a little faster than Palaszewski and jumps in with another right hand. Now a spinning backfist followed up with another shot. "The Gun" lands an inside trip and tries to work some ground and pound from the guard. The two scramble and Palaszewski gets back to his feet. Palaszewski lands a nice leg kick and will need more of those to Nunes at a distance. The two exchange a few combination but pace slowing a little towards the end of the round.

Round 3: Palaszewski now the aggressor, landing some leg kick combinations. Palaszewski catches Nunes with a short left coming in and Nunes looks wobbly. Nunes coming forward but looks like he's still feeling that strike. Palaszewski lays off a little and Nunes regains his composure. Nunes goes for a big overhand right that glances. Palaszewski has stopped bringing the pressure, letting the quicker Nunes slip in and out with punches. "Bartimus" will need a finish to win this one but looks too gassed to land anything. Nunes connects with a right that knocks Palaszewski to the ground just before the bell. Great effort, but most likely will not earn him the round.
