Featherweight Tourney To Begin At Bellator 76

The season seven Bellator featherweight tournament will begin at Bellator 76 on October 12 from Caesars Windsor in Canada. The card will feature a main event between Eddie Alvarez and Patricky Pitbull.

The featherweight tournament includes quarterfinal matches between Nazareno Malegarie and Rad Martinez; Akop Stepany and Wagnney Fabiano; Jeremy Spoon and Mike Richman; and Cody Bollinger vs. Shahbulat Shamhalaev.

Whoever survives the tournament will receive a future Bellator featherweight title shot and $100,000. Pat Curran is the current featherweight champion.

Alvarez could be making his final Bellator appearance, as his contract expires after the Pitbull fight. He is a former Bellator lightweight champion.
