Matt Hamill Returns, Sets Light Heavyweight Record In Win

Matt Hamill returned from a year-plus off and controlled Roger Hollett, earning a decision victory at UFC 152: Jones vs. Belfort Saturday night.Hamill decided to retire after a pair of losses to Alexander Gustafsson and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in 2011. However, "The Hammer" got back into the gym and started training, and signed on for a return to the Octagon.
In the win, Hamill (11-4) landed a light heavyweight record 124 significant strikes. Among those, 115 landed to the head of Hollett, who was making his UFC debut.
Hamill is no 6-2 in his last eight fights for the UFC.
