It looks like Tito Ortiz may have started something. Ortiz, who called out Forrest Griffin for his retirement fight, will meet Griffin Saturday night in the co-main event of UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II.Now, another ex-UFC champion wants to call his shot. Matt Serra, in a recent interview with Yahoo! Sports, said he would pick Matt Hughes for his final bout. Serra even went as far as picking a location for the contest.
"As of right now, I have nothing on the radar, and there's nothing planned, and I'm fine with that," Serra said. "But if I could choose my last fight, it would be against Matt Hughes at Madison Square Garden. That would be a beautiful thing."
Serra hasn't competed since a loss to Chris Lytle back in 2010, and is 1-3 in his last four fights. Included in that stretch is a decision defeat to Hughes.
Hughes, meanwhile, has dropped back-to-back fights to BJ Penn and Josh Koscheck. While he has yet to announce his retirement, he did hint that he was finished after the knockout loss to Koscheck.
