Jon Fitch Out Of Planned Bout With Aaron Simpson

The injuries continue to take a toll on the UFC's scheduled lineup, as Jon Fitch has been forced out of a planned bout with Aaron Simpson at UFC on FUEL TV 4. The news was first reported by the Wrestling Observer, and confirmed via Bob Cook, the trainer for Fitch, by MMAFighting.com.Fitch (23-4-1) was looking to bounce back after a 12-second KO loss to Johny Hendricks late in 2011. He is a former contender to the UFC's welterweight title.
Simpson is looking to make his debut at welterweight. A new opponent for him has yet to be determined.
UFC on FUEL TV 4 features Mark Munoz vs. Chris Weidman in the main event from San Jose, California. The card takes place inside the HP Pavilion on July 11.
