Siyar Bahadurzada Debuts In UFC With Thunderous KO Of Paulo Thiago

As far as debuts go with the UFC, Siyar Bahadurzada's will be one that many don't forget any time soon. Bahadurzada landed a left to the ear and a short right that caught Paulo Thiago charging in at UFC on FUEL TV 2: Gustafsson vs. Silva Saturday in Sweden.

Bahadurzada ended things in 22 seconds, despite possibly breaking his hand 10 days prior to the bout. The Afghan was slated to make his debut earlier this year against Erick Silva, but he was forced out with an injury.

"I did feel it (landing the right on Thiago)," Bahadurzada said. "I think I broke my right hand 10 days before my fight, but I didn't go to the doctor because I just wanted this so bad."

Bahadurzada improves to 21-4-1 in his career, as the 27-year-old is now a perfect 1-0 inside the Octagon. The Netherlands-trained fighter gave Thiago plenty of respect after the fight.

"Paulo Thiago, I respect this guy a lot. He comes every time to fight," Bahadurzada said. "I love those kind of fights beccause I come to fight; the fans want to see a fight and I givve them a fight."

Thiago falls to 14-4 in his career, including just 1-3 in his last four UFC fights. The knockout loss to Bahadurzada was the first stoppage loss of his career.
