Junior Dos Santos-Alistair Overeem Official For UFC 146

UFC officials have confirmed the date and location for Junior dos Santos' first defense of his UFC heavyweight title. "Cigano" will meet No. 1 contender Alistair Overeem at UFC 146 on May 26.The card, which has been rumored for several weeks now, will take place from Las Vegas and the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Several other bouts have been set for the card including Jason "Mayhem" Miller vs. C.B. Dollaway and Edson Barboza against Evan Dunham.
Dos Santos won the title from Cain Velasquez last year, earning a first round knockout. He is 14-1 in his MMA career and a perfect 8-0 in the UFC.
Overeem (36-11) earned the shot with a victory over Brock Lesnar in his UFC debut. "The Reem" is a former Strikeforce heavyweight champion.
