Lightweight Contenders Barboza, Dunham To Meet At 'UFC 146'
By Dana Becker | February 20, 2012
A key battle in the UFC's lightweight division has been signed for UFC 146, as Edson Barboza and Evan Dunham will collide. The card is set for May 26 from Las Vegas.
While still not announced, a heavyweight battle for the belt between Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem is the likely main event. Barboza-Dunham should land a spot on the pay-per-view main card.
Barboza (10-0) has racked up four wins in his UFC career, including triumphs over Terry Etim, Anthony Njokuani and Ross Pearson. The Brazilian has earned three straight Fight of the Night honors.
Dunham (13-2) has won six of his eight UFC bouts. He has won two straight since back-to-back losses against Sean Sherk and Melvin Guillard.
