UFC On Fuel TV: Diego Sanchez Vs. Jake Ellenberger

Round 1: These two come straight at each other, Ellenberger getting the better of it as the crowd chants, "Jake!" Ellenberger showing solid head movement as Sanchez comes forward. They fire body kicks at the same time and cancel each other out. The pace has slowed some. Ellenberger makes Sanchez pay with hard counters when he moves in behind punches. Both men staying honest, showing respect. Ellenberger tags Sanchez with a hard knee and some follow up punches as he moves forward and looks for the takedown. Sanchez shakes it off. Ellenberger continuing to counter well as Sanchez comes after him, but Sanchez touches him with a left as he stops briefly against the cage. Sanchez bulls after Ellenberger, whom plants and goes for the takedown. Sanchez defends and Ellenberger tags him on the break. Ellenberger sits Sanchez down with a beautiful one-two counter as Sanchez moves in with wild shots. Sanchez moves in behind a combo again, but Ellenberger turns him into the cage and roughs him up from the clinch. Sanchez still coming forward, eats a hard right before the bell.

Round 2: Sanchez tries for a spinning back kick that misses. Ellenberger with a head kick that Sanchez takes on the arm. Sanchez again working the spinning back kick. Ellenberger is keeping in his rhythm, staying on Sanchez with the counter and making him miss with the punches he does throw. Sanchez starting to get flustered as Ellenberger patiently picks him apart. Sanchez gets in a lunging right hook and scores with a pair of counters when Ellenberger comes in with an elbow. Ellenberger ducks a punch by Sanchez and hits a deep power double with just about a minute left in the round. Sanchez offensive from his back, but Ellenberger is keeping in control and landing short punches. Ellenberger lands some hard elbows as the round comes to a close. Sanchez is a bleeding mess.

Round 3: Sanchez comes out looking aggressive, but Ellenberger is right there to meet him. The crowd chants, "Jake!" Ellenberger showing solid head movement in avoiding Sanchez's shots. Ellenberger with a nice leg kick that knocks Sanchez off balance. Ellenberger targeting Sanchez's battered nose with a stiff jab. Ellenberger fighting beautifully as he moves back and to angles, tagging Sanchez up as he chases after him. Sanchez swarming, getting in some good shots, but Ellenberger sticks a few counters and stalls his attack by threatening with the single leg. Ellenberger goes for the takedown and then lands a nice knee to the body. Both men bleeding now, Ellenberger showing some damage now. Sanchez with s stiff left that lands hard with a minute anda half to go. Ellenberger drops for and completes a solid double leg. Sanchez fighting to his feet; he scrambles and takes Ellenberger's back, pounding away at him with over a minute to go. Sanchez is wailing on Ellenberger, The Juggernaut doing just enough to survive. Sanchez is clearly tired, throwing blood-filled arms at Ellenberger. Ellenberger escapes with seconds to go and fires off a few punches.

Jake Ellenberger defeated Diego Sanchez via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Ellenberger calls Sanchez the toughest guy he's ever fought and says it was an honor to fight a warrior like that and a great test of his skills.
Sanchez reveals that a badly sprained ankle accompanied him into this fight.
