Igor Pokrajac Replaces Brandon Vera, Will Meet Thiago Silva At 'UFC On FX 3'

Brandon Vera's injury has opened the door for Igor Pokrajac to face Thiago Silva in a main card bout on UFC on FX 3. The card takes place May 15 from Fairfax, Virginia.

MMAWeekly.com has confirmed with sources close to the fight that bout agreements have been issued. The match will be Silva's return from a year-long suspension handed down after he defeated Vera. The outcome was eventually changed to a no-contest.

Pokrajac (24-8) has won his last two fights, including a knockout victory over Krzysztof Soszynski at UFC 140 in late 2011. Pokrajac is 3-3 in his last six fights inside the Octagon.

Silva (14-2) has only been defeated by former UFC light heavyweight champions Lyoto Machida and Rashad Evans in his career. He won his first 13 professional fights before falling to Machida in 2009.
