Match Up Alerts: Lawlor Vs. MacDonald, Vemola Vs. Massenzio

A pair of middleweight match ups have been announced today by the UFC, with Tom Lawlor and Jason MacDonald getting paired together for UFC on FX 3, and the still-developing UFC on Fox 3 fight card getting the addition of Karlos Vemola vs. Mike Massenzio.

Tom Lawlor and Jason MacDonald will both be looking to rebound from disappointing losses when they meet this May at UFC on FX 3. Lawlor (7-4, 1 NC) dropped a first round submission to Chris Weidman in November of last year at UFC 139 and MacDonald (25-15) submitted to punches delivered by the returning Alan Belcher last September at UFC Fight Night 25.

UFC on FX 3 is scheduled to take place on May 15 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. Earlier today, a light heavyweight rematch between Brandon Vera and Thiago Silva was also announced for the card.

Czech-born powerhouse Karlos Vemola (8-2) will make his fourth Octagon appearance against six-time Octagon vet Mike Massenzio (13-6). Vemola and Massenzio are also coming off of losses, to Ronny Markes and Rousimar Palhares, respectively. With both men having gone 1-2 in the Octagon (Massenzio's first run in the Octagon also resulted in a 1-2 stretch), they may very well be fighting for their jobs.

UFC on Fox 3 will take place at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey on May 15 and will feature a lightweight tilt between Nate Diaz and Jim Miller in the main event.
