After rumors of a Ross Pearson-Dennis Siver rematch were shot down, it didn't take very long for the UFC to figure out an opponent for Siver. On April 14, Siver will make his featherweight debut at UFC on FUEL TV 2 against Diego Nunes, according to the Swedish MMA site, MMAnytt.se.The card, which takes place from Stockholm, Sweden, will feature a main event pitting Alexander Gustafsson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Other bouts planned inside the Ericcson Arena include Brian Stann-Alessio Sakara, and John Maguire-DaMarques Johnson.
Siver (19-8) had his four-fight win streak snapped at the hands of Donald Cerrone, making the decision to drop down a weight class easier for the Russian. Nunes (17-2) rebounded from a loss to Kenny Florian by defeating Manny Gamburyan late in 2011.
