UFC Website Hacked Over SOPA Backing
By Dana Becker | January 23, 2012
On Sunday, a group calling themselves the Underground Nazi HackerGroup took over control of the UFC's main website. If you tried going to UFC.com, all you saw was a picture resembling Adolf Hitler that played a goofy song, as well.Josh Matthews, who took credit for the hack on his Twitter account, posted, "How does the government have more power than us people?" The UFC recently came out in support for the anti-piracy legislation SOPA, which is what pushed the hackers to attack the site.
UFC president Dana White responded to a person on Twitter asking him what was going on with the site, posting, "Who gives a sh** :)" As of today, the UFC website appears to be back up and running at full strength.
