PRELIMINARY CARD
Felipe Arantes vs. Antonio Carvalho
NFL music kicks off the UFC on Facebook stream. Not used to that yet…
Round 1: Arantes takes the center of the cage. Arantes slips after a kick; Carvalho quickly follows him down and looks to pass. Carvalho showing solid work on the ground, controlling Arantes well and staying active. Arantes stands, but Carvalho keeps him in a front headlock. Arantes tries for a takedown and Carvalho reverses, quickly taking full mount and landing punches. Arantes hips out beautifully and the fight resumes on their feet. Arantes coming forward now, landing nice, straight punches and throwing kicks. Arantes sits down on a good right hand and gets out of the way before Carvalho can counter. Arantes throws a jumping knee, which Carvalho catches. Arantes shows some stellar takedown defense in avoiding the takedown before the bell.

Round 2: Carvalho is definitely not getting dogged on the feet, he's hanging in there, defending well and firing back, but Arantes is more fluid, seemingly with a better understanding of range. Carvalho throwing kicks, but most of them are being blocked. Carvalho closes the distance and presses Arantes into the cage. Carvalho working short knees and shoulder strikes while working for position. Arantes reverses and they break. Arantes lunges in with a combination; Carvalho tries to use his momentum to take him down, but Arantes defends. Arantes puts together a good combo, punctuated by a head kick. Arante with a good knee from the clinch. Carvalho whiffs on a wheel kick before the bell.

Round 3: Both men working with more urgency, Arantes landing a nice left hook-leg kick combo. Carvalho with a good leg kick of his own. Arantes getting flashy, throws a jumping knee. Carvalho shoots deep and Arantes defends; Carvalho pulls guard. Carvalho working mission control. Avoiding Carvalho's attempts to control his posture, Arantes getting off some solid elbows and punches. Carvalho gets split open by an elbow. Arantes passes to half guard, but Carvalho fights to his feet. Arantes makes him pay with a knee. Arantes with a nice right hand. Carvalho chasing after Arantes, but Arantes moves away and counters.
