Video: Michael Bisping Owes Jean-Claude Van Damme His Career

Fans and haters of Michael Bisping alike, you may credit Jean-Claude Van Damme for The Count's mixed martial arts.

As the British middleweight recently told FightHubTV, the Muscles from Brussels inspired Bisping to initially pick up martial arts as did the likes of British heavyweight boxer Frank Bruno and his American counterpart Mike Tyson.

"Growing up, I was a big fan of Mike Tyson, of Frank Bruno - Frank Bruno is a legend in British boxing and he was always a favorite of mine. And I always loved martial arts movies. I was a big fan of Jean-Claude Van Damme," said Bisping. "So, that's what kind of got me into martial arts, you know, watching Van Damme movies. Embarrassingly enough as it is to say."
