Erick Silva Gets Replacement Fighter For UFC 142
By Dana Becker | December 16, 2011
It didn't take long for the UFC to find a replacement for Siyar Bahadurzada, as Carlos Prater has stepped in to face Erick Silva at UFC 142: Aldo vs. Mendes. Bahadurzada was forced out due to an injury.
UFC 142 will be headlined by a UFC featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes. The co-main event is slated to feature Vitor Belfort meeting Anthony Johnson.
Prater will be making his UFC debut at the card and carries a four-fight win streak, which includes a submission victory over Cameron Dollar. Previously, Prater competed for the WEC, falling to Carlos Condit and Brock Larson.
Silva has won 13 of 15 career fights, including a win in his UFC debut over Luis Ramos earlier this year.
