UFC on FUEL 1 continues to materialize, as MMAWeekly reports today that a heavyweight match up between Stefan Struve and Dave Herman has been verbally agreed to for the event.6'11" Dutchman Stefan Struve has an impressive number of fights to his credit considering that he's only 23-years-old. Skyscraper made his UFC debut in 2009 at UFC 95, losing via first round TKO to current heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos. Since then, Struve has gone 6-2 in the promotion, outweighing losses to Roy Nelson and Travis Browne with impressive wins over Christian Morecraft, Sean McCorkle and Pat Barry. Sporting a record of 22-5, Struve most recently appeared in action this past October at UFC Live: Cruz vs. Johnson, tapping out Pat Barry in the second round with a triangle.
Team Quest representative Dave Herman made his UFC debut this past June at UFC 131: Dos Santos vs. Carwin, taking on fellow debutant Jon Olav Einemo and putting on a Fight of the Night earning performance en route to winning via second round TKO. Herman claims a professional record of 21-2, having competed everywhere from EliteXC and Sengoku to Bellator and Shark Fights. The 27-year-old is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. He was expected to face Mike Russow at UFC 136 this past October, but he failed his pre-fight drug test for marijuana.
UFC on FUEL 1 goes down on February 15 at a to-be-decided venue in Omaha, Nebraska.
