Quick Shots: Featherweights Signed For UFC 142, Russian To Debut At UFC On FX, UFC Inks Another

Yuri Alcantara will face off against Michihiro Omigawa, while Felipe Arantes takes on Antonio Carvalho. UFC 142 already has a bout between UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and No. 1 contender Chad Mendes scheduled.

-- Undefeated Russian prospect Khabib Nurmagomedov will face Kamal Shalorus at UFC on FX, which is set for January 20 from Tennessee. Nurmagomedov was recently signed by the UFC after posting a 16-0 record. Shalorus suffered his first career loss to Jim Miller this past March.

-- Reza Madadi has signed a multi-fight contract with the UFC and will make his debut against Rafaello Oliveira on January 20 at UFC on FX. Madadi is on a six-fight win streak, having earned a decision victory over former UFC fighter Rich Clementi in his last bout. Madadi is 11-2 in his career, while Oliveira is 14-5. MMA NYTT first reported the signing.
