Video: How Mainstream Is MMA?

Much has been made of this weekend's UFC on Fox: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos event, with the general consensus seeming to be that this will be the fight to really push the UFC and mixed martial arts into the mainstream. When following the sport closely, it's easy to lose sight of how MMA and the UFC are perceived or how much is even known about the sport and the promotion by the general public.

MMAFighting's Ariel Helwani took to the streets of Hollywood ahead of this weekend's breakthrough show to take an informal public poll of general MMA awareness; the results prove that UFC president Dana White is correct in his assessment that, as big as MMA has gotten, it still has a long way to go before reaching mainstream awareness.
