Instead of Tim Hague, it will be Dave Huckaba to face Bobby Lashley at Shark Fights 21 on November 11. Reports earlier this week had Lashley facing Hague, but the fight could not be worked out.Originally, Lashley, a former WWE superstar, was expected to meet Darrill Schoonover for the heavyweight title for Shark Fights. Schoonover was forced out with an injury, but the belt will still be on the line when Lashley (6-1) meets Huckaba (16-4).
"I've been focusing on my stand-up and I'm ready to fight a striker like Dave," said Lashley, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com.
Huckaba has won five consecutive fights, and has won 13 bouts by either TKO or KO. He stopped Ruben Villareal at Shark Fights 18 in his last fight.
Lashley signed a three-fight deal with Shark Fights after defeating John Ott at Titan Fighting Championships in March. The win was his first since suffering a loss to Chad Griggs in Strikeforce.
Shark Fights 21 takes place from the Fair Park Coliseum in Lubbock, Texas and will be aired by FUEL TV on December 23.
