Dana White Says He Will Work To Get 'Rampage' Jackson On Japan Card

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson wasn't able to fight the UFC light heavyweight title off the waist of Jon Jones Saturday night at UFC 135.

But, the former champion does have his sights set on where and when he wants to get back inside the Octagon, as Jackson made it known he wants to compete on the February 26 UFC card slated for Saitama, Japan.

"I want to go to Japan in February and fight 'Shogun' (Rua)," Jackson said inside the cage in Denver Saturday after his fourth round loss via submission to Jones. "That's what I want, rematch with 'Shogun' in Japan. Put it together, Dana (White)."

White, in the post-fight press conference, said he was fine with booking Jackson for the card, but that Rua may not be available. Rua is scheduled to meet Dan Henderson in the main event of UFC 139 in November.

"He and I just talked about that when he was back there getting stitched up. (Shogun) is fighting Dan Henderson in San Jose, so we'll see what happens there but what 'Rampage' said to me is, 'I want to fight on that Japan (card).' I said, 'Cool. I'm never going to argue with you when you tell me you want to fight.' We can do it. I'm glad to hear him saying that," White said.

Jackson lost to Rua in 2005 via TKO in the opening round of the Pride Middleweight Grand Prix.
