Krzysztof Soszynski-Igor Pokrajac Added To UFC 140

The UFC has added another fight to UFC 140, as Krzysztof Soszynski will meet Igor Pokrajac in a light heavyweight battle.

Soszynski has trained for many years in Canada, where he also fought as a professional wrestler. "The Polish Experiement" will likely be heavily cheered when he enters the cage.

Soszynski (26-11) has won two straight fights since a loss to Stephan Bonnar in 2010, defeating Goran Reljic and Mike Massenzio. Recent knee surgery, though, has kept Soszynski on the shelf since earlier this year.

"I am so pumped! We were set to fight in Vancouver, but we get to do it in Toronto! 11 weeks to go! Thank you UFC, Dana White, Joe Silva," said Soszynski on his Twitter account Thursday.

Pokrajac (23-8) and Soszynski were originally expected to meet at UFC 131, but Pokrajac was forced out due to an injury. Soszynski went to face Massenzio on the card instead.

"The Duke" has won two of his last three fights, with the lone loss during that streak coming to Bonnar, as well. Pokrajac defeated Todd Brown in March and owns a victory over James Irvin.

It was not made known if the Soszynski-Pokrajac bout would make the main card or not for UFC 140, which features a main event pitting Frank Mir against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Nogueira's brother, Antonio Rogerio, will also be on the card, facing Tito Ortiz.
