Jon Fitch Vs. Johny Hendricks On For UFC 141

Looks like Jon Fitch has changed his tune on only fighting champions or former champions in main events, as he's accepted a bout against Johny Hendricks set for UFC 141.ESPN.com reports that the bout has been verbally agreed to by both men.
Since fighting former champ BJ Penn to a draw late this past February, Fitch has been out of action rehabbing a shoulder injury which required surgery. As he's sat on the sidelines while his welterweight peers move on and get matched up, Fitch has made his discontent heard. UFC president Dana White, with whom Fitch has always had a contentious relationship, has essentially made it clear that Fitch will need to fight who gets put in front of him. Fitch is widely considered to be a top three welterweight, having only been defeated by Georges St-Pierre in twenty-two fights since 2003.
Until he ran into Rick Story in December of last year, Johny Hendricks had stayed undefeated. The four-time All-American wrestler from Oklahoma State University earned impressive stoppage wins over Charlie Brenneman and Amir Sadollah before coming up short against Story and rebounded from that unanimous decision defeat by taking out TJ Waldburger and Mike Pierce, consecutively. He most recently appeared in action early this past August at UFC 133, taking a hard-earned split-decision win over Mike Pierce.
UFC 141 goes down on December 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and will feature a highly-publicized main event between former UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar and former Strikeforce heavyweight champ Alistair Overeem.
