UFC 134: Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua Vs. Forrest Griffin

Griffin runs out to the cage to "Shipping Up to Boston" by the Dropkick Murphys, he looks all business. Rua sticks with a techno entrance and enters the arena looking calm and determined. Marc Goddard will act as the third man in the cage for tonight's co-main event.

Round 1: They don't touch gloves once the action starts. Griffin comes out looking nimble, his movement giving Rua pause. He lands a good leg kick and Rua returns fire with two lunging punches. Rua cracks Griffin with a good right uppercut as he moves in. Rua is swinging heavy leather here early. Rua lands a hard right hook that puts Griffin on shaky legs. Griffin stumbles to his knees as Shogun pushes forward and Rua follows him down. He pounces, hammering away at the dazed American until he is separated from consciousness. Another big win and good showing by the Brazilians.

Rua says he trained hard every day for this fight to be prepared for Griffin and he thanks Brazil.
