It has been confirmed: the UFC will return to Canada for UFC 140 on Dec. 10.Both ESPN and MMAjunkie.com have reported that the company has finalized terms to return to Toronto for the second time. The event will be held at the Air Canada Centre.
Ontario, the province for which Toronto is located, was one of the longest holdouts in regards to regulating MMA, as the first card was just recently held on April 2.
Currently, there are no rumored fights scheduled for UFC 140, but many, including Canada's own Mark Hominick have made public requests to be part of the event.
The first time the UFC hosted a card in Toronto was last April, when they drew 55,724 fans for a live gate of $12.075 million. The event shattered the previous North American MMA records set by UFC 124, which also was in Canada at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
