The UFC Acquires Welterweight Charlie Brenneman
By Mark Wayne | February 09, 2010
MMAJunkie.com is reporting that 170lbs prospect Charlie Brenneman (10-1) has signed a UFC contract and will test his mettle in the deepest welterweight division in the world. Apparently a Gladiator fan, "The Spaniard" has finished seven of his eleven fights and his only loss came by unanimous decision in a close fight against the UFC's John Howard.
A gifted collegiate wrestler and training partner to fighting brothers Jim and Dan Miller, Brenneman was also the winner of the first season of Spike TV's reality series "Pros Vs. Joes".
Brenneman's agent, Mike Constantino, released this statement concerning his fighter's UFC signing (which came on his 29th birthday): "Charlie is one of the hardest working fighters here at AMA Fight Club and has a ton of raw talent and athleticism. He continues to improve each and every day, and I am looking forward to introducing his skills to the world."
It has yet to be announced when Brenneman will make his debut.
