Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. Rashad Evans Set For UFC 114
By Richa Mitchell | January 20, 2010
The long awaited grudge match between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans is finally set. UFC President Dana White announced that the two will face each other at UFC 114 on May 29th.
Jackson was slated to face Evans at UFC 107 last month, however had to pull out of the fight when he accepted the role of B.A. Baracus in the upcoming movie, The A-Team. The fight cancellation caused a public feud between Jackson and White, prompting Jackson to release a statement in September announcing that he was retiring in order to pursue his Hollywood ambitions. Jackson went on to announce his return in December, citing a bout with Evans as the reason for his coming back.
UFC 114 will take place on May 29, 2010 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. While Evans vs. Rampage will headline the card, no other bouts have been announced.
