Cung Le Set To Begin Ultimate Fighter: China In October

Former Strikeforce champion Cung Le will be heading to China again in October to begin filming for The Ultimate Fighter: China.

Le confirmed plans for the reality series in the country via a live chat on Reddit Tuesday night.

“We were in discussion about fighting Michael Bisping, but instead UFC asked me to go to China to do Ultimate Fighter China and be the mentor coach and the figurehead,” Le posted. “I leave October 1st.”

Now on the other side of 40 years old, Le is constantly questioned about retirement. Due to filming several movies along with his fighting career, he doesn’t have the same kind of bumps and bruises as most his age.

“I’m taking it one fight at a time,” Le said, when asked about how many bouts he has let, “and right after the Rich Franklin (fight) I had to get a few surgeries on my elbow and I had to recover properly so that I could not re-injure it. I would have done the Michael Bisping fight in October, but the universe had other plans. It is what it is.”
