Bellator 106: Lightweight Champ Pat Curran Meets Daniel Straus

Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney wasn??t joking when he said their first PPV card would be stacked with title fights. The latest addition is featherweight champ Pat Curran taking on Daniel Straus.

“Curran vs. Straus is a fight I’ve wanted to see since Daniel won the tournament a year ago last May,? said Rebney. ??This should be an epic world title fight and our pay-per-view provides the perfect stage.”

Curran will look for his seventh straight win and has stopped three of the last four via submission. Straus won the Season 6 tournament, but a broken hand and some legal trouble created the delay.

With Curran-Straus official, it??s title fight number three. Previously announced was Michael Chandler vs. Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title and Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal vs. Emanuel Newton for the vacant light heavyweight belt. Both are rematches.

Bellator 106 is November 2 from the Long Beach Arena in California. It??s headlined with former UFC champions Tito Ortiz and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
