UFC 164 Flyweight Louis Gaudinot Says Former Training Partner Uriah Hall Left And Never Came Back

Former Ring of Combat flyweight champion Louis Gaudinot faces Tim Elliot on the UFC 164: Henderson vs. Pettis 2 preliminary card after sitting on the sidelines for well over a year.

Gaudinot trains out of Tiger Schulmann’s team in New Jersey – a place that TUF 17 runner-up Uriah Hall suddenly abandon after dropping a split decision to Kelvin Gastelum in the Finale.

“He left for whatever his own reasons were. It was kinda weird when he left, he didn’t let anyone know or talk to anybody. I think here we’re a real close nit family, we have a lot of lighter weight guys, we don’t have too many big guys like him – 185ers, 205ers – but I consider my training partners as my brothers, and if one of them decided to go to another camp or change paths. I would think that they would want to tell people why, or what’s the reason and say their goodbyes.”

Hall has yet to reap the benefits of switching from Schulmann’s to Mark Munoz’s Reign training center in California. In his last fight on UFC on FOX Sports 1 against John Howard, Hall looked flat and his timing was off.

But it may not be the adjustment in his training scene that has Hall on a downward spiral. It could be because he had too much hype on his shoulders after his insane spin kick KO on the show that led some people to believe he was already able to defeat Anderson Silva.
