Tim Kennedy Informs Vitor Belfort To Fight Clean

Tim Kennedy can be checked off as a hater of TRT. Vitor Belfort, a user and supporter of the substance, was thought to be taking on Kennedy but it never materialized. Now Kennedy claims Belfort had accepted the fight, with his one request being that it takes place from Brazil.

The end saw Belfort vs. Dan Henderson and Kennedy vs. Lyoto Machida be announced.

??If I get a call to fight, I’m told it’s at this time, at this place and I accept,? said Kennedy to Bleacher Report. ??I don’t go around being like ‘well, I’m only going to fight so and so if we meet in Austin, Texas.’ Fight clean, stop using steroids.?

There is no definitive rule in Brazil regarding TRT and drug testing there isn??t as strict compared to the United States.

Kennedy won his UFC debut against Roger Gracie. He spent the last few years in Strikeforce and twice unsuccessfully challenged for the middleweight belt.

Belfort is coming off a pair of wins this year. He defeated Michael Bisping in two rounds and Luke Rockhold in under three minutes.

Kennedy-Machida is at UFC Fight Night 31 on November 6 and Belfort-Henderson follows on November 9 at UFC Fight Night 32.
