Fabricio Werdum Feels Junior Dos Santos Has Five Minutes To KO Cain Velasquez At UFC 166

Fabricio Werdum has been on fire since returning to the Octagon after a two year stint in Strikeforce, defeating Roy Nelson, Mike Russow and Antonio Nogueira in impressive fashion.

The 3rd ranked heavyweight in the UFC, Werdum is waiting to see if a sudden mishap in training camp forces Junor dos Santos to pull from his October 19 trilogy match with heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at UFC 166.

While Werdum says he’s ready to trade places with the challenger, he still has his opinion on how the third fight between Velasquez and Dos Santos will unfold.

“I think in the first round, Cigano has the power in his hands. If he gets a good punch, he’ll win. But if it goes to the second round and past the second round, Velasquez will win a decision again.”

Dos Santos surprised fight fans with a lightning fast knockout in their first meeting, but Velasquez made up for the one minute loss with a five-round beatdown to take his heavyweight strap back at UFC 155.
