Bocek has been forced out of a planned encounter with Michel Prazeres and UFC officials have tabbed Jesse Ronson to make his debut.
The event is set for September 21 from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. The bout is likely slated for the prelims.
Ronson (has won eight straight fights. His nickname is “The Body Snatcher” and he is 13-2 in his career. Prazeres (16-1) suffered his first career loss to Paulo Thiago earlier this year.
Bocek (11-5) confirmed news of his exit on Twitter, posting, “I’m very sorry to report that I have sustained an injury during training and I will not be able to fight at UFC 165. I will be back stronger!”
