UFC president Dana White posted on Twitter Saturday night that Conor McGregor and Max Holloway both suffered injuries during their prelim fight at UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Sonnen.
McGregor, who earned the win, eluded to a knee injury during his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan.
“Conor McGregor has some type of knee injury and Holloway possibly broken foot,” White posted.
Holloway never really threatened McGregor, but the possible foot injury could have been a big reason for that.
White also sounded off on the Uriah Hall-John Howard match, saying, “HORRIBLE!!!!!! The high 5 fight of the night WTF.” Howard won via decision.
