Travis Browne owns his fair-share of knockout finishes.
So does his opponent, Alistair Overeem.
The two will collide Saturday night in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Sonnen from the TD Garden in Boston.
With the heavyweight division, Browne believes anybody can finish his opponent in a matter of minutes.
“All of us hit hard,” Browne said. “The first one to land a big shot in the heavyweight division is usually a winner.”
Overeem, a highly-regarded kickboxer and striker, brings a “certain set of skills,” said Browne, quoting the blockbuster film, “Taken.”
“But this is an MMA fight and it can go anywhere at any time,” he added. “I look forward to competing against Alistair and coming out on top.”
Browne (14-1-1) rebounded from his first career loss earlier this year be stopping Gabriel Gonzaga in the opening round. He owns 10 knockout finishes in his career.
