Pedro Munhoz wants to finish Jeff Curran at Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) 9. That’s simpler said than done, seeing Curran has only been stopped five times in his career. The last time was in 2007.
“He’s a really tough opponent, but I’m ready and I’m going to finish this fight,” said Munhoz on MMA Junkie Radio. “I don’t want this fight to go do a decision. I really want a knockout or a submission. Always when I fight, I like to move forward and I like to finish the fight. The fans like it.”
They will meet over the promotion’s bantamweight title.
The UFC’s Urijah Faber was the last person to submit Curran and it was under the WEC banner. Curran got his first win since the UFC let him go following a 0-2 run a few months back.
Munhoz is undefeated with eight wins, stopping six. This will be his third appearance for RFA.
RFA 9 is this Friday, August 16. It comes from the StubHub Center in Los Angeles, CA with a main card that airs live on AXS TV.
