Brian Bowles was temporarily suspended by the NSAC for a testosterone ratio that was more than 20-1 at UFC 160. While Bowles has the chance to appeal, he’s yet to make any move.
“He never filed an answer, so it looks to be uncontested,” wrote NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer in an email to MMA Junkie.
The bantamweight is expected to be formally suspended and fined for the failed drug test at the next NSAC meeting on August 15.
Bowles was defeated in the second round by George Roop via TKO. The bout was on the prelims of UFC 160, which was May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. Bowles is 2-2 for the UFC and has dropped two in a row.
No other tested fighters on the card came back with a dirty drug test.
