Gerald Harris left the winner at World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 4 with a decision, though he seems to believe he deserved a knockout win. Towards the end of round one, Harris slammed Jorge Santiago and followed with a shot that he thinks woke him up.
“He was out,” said Harris to MMA Interviews. “I woke him back up when I hit him again. If there was 10 seconds left in the round, I would have finished him. He went down hard.”
Santiago was deducted a point for holding the cage during the slam. He lost two fights this year, with the other coming from the UFC.
Harris is now 1-1 for the WSOF. The loss came from promotion’s star Josh Burkman on the inaugural show.
WSOF 4 was yesterday, August 10, from the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. For complete results, click here.
