Angel DeAnda has been called a brawler by some, but at today’s World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 4 he’s out to prove them wrong.
“I’ve got technique and I’ve been training and refining that technique for five years,” said DeAnda to MMA Sentinel. “I’m great on my feet and on the ground. Everybody is going to see that I’m for real.”
Standing in his way is known kickboxing star Tyrone Spong. With 72 wins as a kickboxer, Spong ventured into MMA earlier in the year with a quick finish of Travis Bartlett at WSOF 1.
DeAnda makes his debut for the promotion and is 11-2. He’s riding four wins as he makes his first appearance of 2013.
The bout was originally set for WSOF 3, but visa issues created the delay.
WSOF 4 is today, August 10, and comes from the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. DeAnda-Spong headlines the main card, which airs live on the NBC Sports Network. FightLine will have the results.
