Alistair Overeem isn’t worrying about the past and instead is 100 percent focused on Travis Browne. The two heavyweights are set for UFC Fight Night 26.
“I think he’s a good up-and-coming fighter and I think he’s aggressive, he goes for the kill,” said Overeem to Newsday. “Yeah, definitely someone not to underestimate.”
At one time, Overeem had a UFC title shot all lined up. A random drug test would return with elevated testosterone levels and he served a suspension. He was knocked out in his return against Antonio “Big Foot” Silva.
Browne suffered his first defeat to Silva after tearing his hamstring. He returned in April with Knockout of the Night over Gabriel Gonzaga.
These two are on tap for August 17 from the TD Garden in Boston, MA.
